What's the difference between manure injection and surface application?
Injection places manure below the soil surface, which reduces nitrogen loss and odor compared to surface methods like dribble bars or broadcast spreading. Surface application is faster and lower-cost but doesn’t retain nutrients as effectively.
How do I choose between an injector, hose reel, and pump for my dragline system?
Most dragline setups need all three working together — a pump to move manure through the line, a hose reel to manage deployment and retrieval, and an injector or applicator to place it in the field. Your existing tractor horsepower, acreage, and soil type determine sizing for each.
What size dragline hose do I need?
Dragline hose typically ranges from 6″ to 10″ in diameter. Larger diameter moves more volume but requires more pump capacity and a larger reel. Contact our team to size hose to your pump and acreage.
